ONS Ship Finance
ONS Ship Finance is a ship owning group. The company owns the vessels SuperSpeed 2 and Sun Enabler, which are leased out on long-term contracts.
SuperSpeed is a modern ship design that affords a high transport capacity as well as an efficient and comfortable travel. The ships offer a variety of shops and restaurants. The speedy crossings provided by the SuperSpeed vessels bring Denmark and Norway closer together.
Sister ships SuperSpeed 1 & 2 were built at Aker Yards in Turku, Finland, in 2007. Each ship has the capacity to carry 2 100 guests and 750 cars (2 000 lane metres). Their gross tonnage is about 35 000 tonnes.
In 2014/15, significant investments were made in both ships with the installation of environmentally friendly exhaust gas cleaning systems (scrubbers). The ships are registered in the Norwegian Ordinary Ship Register (NOR).
In august 2018 Superspeed 1 was sold intra-group to Color Line Transport AS.
During the course of 2017, the company purchased an IMR Subsea vessel built in 2009. The ship is named "Sun Enabler". At the current contract the ship is marketed as "Edda Sun".
